The World

The Milky Way Empire Founded by the Sol-Son hundreds of thousands of years ago, the Empire has greatly influenced the evolution of civilization on Earth. In ancient times, mankind would copy the Sol-Son’s ways by establishing similar empires like the Assyrian, Egyptian, Persian, Greek and Roman Empires. Earth has been paying a tax to the Empire for thousands of years, but in modern times humanity as a whole has been denied this information for various unknown reasons; it is only accessible to a very small group of leading heads of state, who carefully supervise the course of events and keep abreast of what happens in deep space. Earth is only required to pay a tax of 100 people every fifty years, receiving in exchange the Empire’s full protection and occasional technological collaboration.

The Milky Way Empire
Founded by the Sol-Son hundreds of thousands of years ago, the Empire has greatly influenced the evolution of civilization on Earth. Upgraded slaves
Every slave undergoes an upgrade, as nanomachinery is inserted into every cell of their bodies. This nanomachinery can replicate injured cells 100 times faster than standard biological cells, and can recreate a slave’s entire body from one small skin sample. It prevents the body from aging, falling ill, or getting pregnant. Slaves require less food and sleep, and their wounds heal within seconds (minutes if the injury is grave); even a slave unlucky enough to be incinerated, shredded to pieces or dissolved into a mash of flesh by the acidic saliva of a fully-grown bonsker will be fully recreated within a short span of time. There is no way to die, and life expectancy is eternal. And yes, it does hurt. A lot.

Jumpsuit color-coding
Blue – technicians, typically on lower decks, in charge of fixing and reinforcing water, electrical and engine systems. Red – arena crews who care for battle beasts. Yellow – dining and food service crew. Green – pilots of battle-drones called in to protect the ship or deal with insurrections on rebellious planets.

Food and drink
The North Star’s marketplace has a wide range of offerings, with stock renewing upon every landing. Slaves can purchase whichever food they choose, even including coffee, tea infusions and alcohol if they can afford it. Sugar and cocoa are illegal on the North Star, but can be acquired on Deck 55 if you have the right connections.

Deck 55
The deck where all slaves ejected from the chart live. They still retain the right to try and reintegrate, but those who have reached the bottom struggle to find their way back up. Crime, prostitution, drugs, shady clubs and illegal trade all characterize Deck 55. It is not a pleasant place to be, but one can find anything not available on the market there.
